Brassica Forage and Winter Bulb Plot Mix
Vogel Crop Services LLC
Diverse brassica selection between forage and winter bulbs
Plants are designed to produce leafy greens early and produce a bulb for winter forage.
Deer will feed on the greens until the first heavy frost and snow make the bulbs sweet to deer
For best results, DO NOT over seed this product and use fertilizer and a grass killing herbicide to maintain the plot
Seeding Rate: Broadcast or Drilled 5 lbs per 21,000 sq ft.
Planting Instructions: Clear a 21,000 sq ft. area or larger using mower or herbicide. (If using herbicide wait at least a week before planting so the herbicide can kill off existing plants and it won’t affect your brassica mix) Work up the area slightly to ensure the seed will make good contact with the soil. If drilled, the correct depth for the seed to be placed at is ¼ inch. If broadcasted make sure to pack the seed down to make contact with the soil.
Planting Time: Early August – Mid September
